Practices

For those of you who don't know know me I wanted to start this out by saying "Hello" It has been almost a month since I was appointed Practice Master for the clan. When we started we had 2-3 players coming regularly and now we between 8-9. I believe that this has been a great opportunity for us to work together and have some fun at the same time. Working on basics and working on team work, not to mention just hanging out with fun people.  I want to say Tank You to all of you that have had/made the opportunity to make it to practices and for being so supportive. For those of you that have not yet made it, I want you to know that I understand that life gets in the way of UT, so no condemnation. Please Remember  you are always family and are always welcome anytime. Even if you can only make it for awhile or just to say "HI"  
The practice format is something I think is working very well. We work as a individual squads working on Defense and Offense, and not just a free for all. Our practices have become very disciplined in the nature of what and how we do things. We work on strategy and timing, not to mention aim and speed. After each practice we go to a private channel at discuss how it went, what needs to change, ideas and strategies for individual maps. If this sounds like something you are interested in trying please stop by. 

Practices are Tue. nights 7:30 CST and Sat. nights 8:00 CST

Scrimmages

We had a great scrimmage against [DK] Dead Kennedys this past Tuesday night. 5-1 win on the first map and a 8-0 win on the second map. It was a lot of fun and [DK] were really nice peeps. We will continue to set up Scrims with clans from the ladder to practice our skills. If you have any clans you want to play let me know.

Ladder Matches

I would like to say Tank you to everyone that has made it to the ladder matches as well. The last match especially we had an over flow of people ready willing and able to play.  It seems that we have been attempting to defend ourselves on the ladder most of the time, so I will be making a push to be aggressively challenging opponents so we can start making a bid for the top 15. We currently are in 20th position. With all of the hard work you have put into this I know we can go farther, and still have fun. 

What's NEW 

I will be implementing some new processes in the next few weeks. I need a better way to determine who is planning on being at practices and matches, since this will dictate how these functions are planned.  I have also been asked to work with setting up tryouts for new "possible" recruits. So there will be some new ways to set these things up and  a better way of passing on the information to you the clan on what is going on and who our new members are.
